The Journalists International Forum for Migration(JIFORM) has appointed Biram S Jobe Jobe of QTV Gambia and the Publisher Sinurew Online Newspaper as Secretary, JIFORM West Africa.
A statement issued in Lusaka, Zambia by the Secretary General JIFORM, Ms Juliet Makwama comfirmed the appointment on Monday.
Also Dr Babatunde Tiamiyu, the Head of Programmes at the Pensioners FM, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria(FRCN), Ibadan correspondent, Adelowo Adedayo as Southern Nigeria Coordinator, JIFORM and Oyo State Chairman, JIFORM respectively.
The appointment becomes imperative as the media foundation intensifies it’s advocacy on migration matters across the globe.
“Those appointed have demonstrated uncommon interest in migration reportage over time and are journalists with intergrity.
“JIFORM therefore urges them to justify the confidence repose in them. Congratulations.”
