President of the Godsent Foundation, Ambassador Dion Osagie, has reiterated that the problem of insecurity can be addressed by removing some children and people in need from the streets gradually.
He spoke on the sides of the reunion of the foundation in Barcelona, Spain last weekend, saying that “the reunion is a way to show where we are coming from.”
On the effect of the world wide Covid-19 pandemic on the economy, Ambassador Osagie said that “prosperity is possible if we come together. If we remove one person from the street every month it would be a big achievement towards security in Nigeria and also it would be a big achievement towards development of the states of the country.”
He lamented that ever since the foundation commenced its programme of outreach to people in need, street children and youths the government have not given it any form of support.
Ambassador Dion while speaking on the free education programme of the foundation for street children stressed that the programme which operates on the basis of free books, free tuition, free uniform and feeding, has been of benefit to over 200 children in primary and post primary level.
