2023: Group promises Tinubu/Shettima half a million votes in Edo

The group, Nigerian Youth Movement for Asiwaju/Shettima(NYMA), Edo State Chapter, is working round the clock in its strategy to secure at least half a million votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential flagbearer in the forthcoming polls, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Alhaji Kashim Shettima.

Making this known was the State Coordinator of the group, Comrade Peter Ogbodu, while addressing a widely attended meeting of the group held close to the vicinity of the state Government House situated in GRA, Benin City on Saturday evening.

Comrade Ogbodu stressed that “NYMA garnering about half a million votes for Tinubu and Shettima in the forthcoming Presidential Polls is not day dreaming. It is achievable and we will do just that.”

Asked to give a likely breakdown of how the half a million votes would emerge, Comrade Ogbodu refused, saying: “we will not reveal our game plan to the opposition. We are not unmindful that we are constantly under the watch of some elements in opposing political parties who would give anything to be informed of our next line of action.”

Meanwhile, rising from the crucial meeting there were talks in low tones that in days to come some grassroots groups may be dumping their allegiance to other political parties to team up with NYMA in its commitment to ensure that all APC flagbearers come tops in the  elections.
