The campaign team of Okhiku Esezobor Heman, the All Progressives Congress(APC) aspirant, who is in the forefront of the Chairmanship race for the Owan West Local Government Council poll in July 2026, have showered praises on Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, for okaying the employment of 5,000 teachers into the state educational system.
Team Okhiku Esezobor Heman thanked the Governor “for his fairness, equity, magnanimity, exemplified excellent governance, massive educational empowerment/ infrastructure, educational light up and for strengthening educational institutions throughout the State, with five thousand capacity building teachers.”
The campaign team said that it’s extending its gratefulness to the Governor “because education is light and power to the people.”
Going further, the team asserted “you have won our hearts with this marvelous and huge empowerment and have made tremendous history.”
According to the campaign team, “as it is indeed, first of it’s kind in the history of Edo State and posterity has it that, this democratic dividends and generosity to the good people of Edo State will forever stand as a testament to be appreciated and remembered for life both in Owan West and in Edo State.
“And in furtherance of this facts, we also remain grateful for all the love granted our well cherished dear son, Mr. Speaker – Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku.
“In view of this glaring ‘eye mark’ Sir, we promise to ensure a massive vote is delivered to you in 2027 and beyond Sir.”
It would be recalled that a few days ago Governor Okpebholo gave letters of employment to 5,000 teachers who hitherto were contract staff during the administration of the then Governor Godwin Obaseki.
