Just In: Bendel Insurance and Rivers United Match Day 9 encounter in Benin postponed

‎The Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL) Match Day 9 between Bendel Insurance FC of Benin and Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt has been postponed.

According to a statement that emanated from Comrade Kehinde Osagiede, Director,
‎Media & Communications, ‎Bendel Insurance FC, “‎the change in the schedule is as a result of Rivers United involvement in the CAF Champions League engagement in Maputo, Mozambique this weekend.
‎
“‎Rivers United are already in Maputo, Mozambique for Saturday’s TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, second preliminary round, 1st leg tie against Black Bulls FC. The match will be played at the 3,000 capacity Lalgy Sport Arena in Matola, Mozambique, a city near Maputo. Kickoff time is 3pm local time (2pm Nigerian time.

“‎Rivers United will return to Nigeria for the ‎NPFL MD 9 fixture with Insurance FC on Thursday or a new date that will be communicated by the NPFL management body in due course.”
