Okojie best suited to represent Edo Central Senatorial District

June 12: Not ideal as Democracy Day, says senate hopeful

Neda Imasuen, Senator Elect for Edo South District, has promised his constituents and indeed Nigerians, that his party, the Labour Party (LP), will not disappoint them.

He made the promise when he led some of the party’s flagbearers and officials on a visit to the Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) camp situated at Uhogua, a community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State to donate food items to the camp residents.

The Senator Elect said that the success of the LP in the 2023 Presidential and NASS polls was a result of Nigerians been fed up with the old order whereby their supposed representatives forget about them once they get to power but only come back while seeking votes four years later.

He asserted that the LP will change the narratives henceforth as the party has compassion for Nigerians and will always lead the fight to free them from the shackles of bad governance, neglect and poverty, adding that with LP in the saddle of leadership all the past misdeeds of political office holders will be corrected and thus people will have the benefit of a new Nigeria that works for the good of all its citizens.

Imasuen promised the large gathering of church members that he will make the camp his home henceforth as he will always be available for them whenever they’re in need of him. He charged them not to be downcast as majority of them are billed to play important roles in the history of the country in some years to come.

He appealed to the congregation to troop out in large numbers on Saturday, March 18th when the last polls for the state House of Assembly would be conducted so that they can vote for the candidates of the LP, the only party which has their interest at heart.

Pastor Solomon Folorunsho, the Commandant of the Camp, thanked the team for their genuine interest in catering for the needs of the people in the camp and prayed to God to grant their heart’s desires.
