Edo 2024: Imansuangbon has boost LP chances for victory says LP leaders

Edo 2024: I am the real ‘home boy’ – Osifo

Rights activist and Director of Contact and Mobilisation of LP in the Diaspora, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, has asserted that the Saturday, March 18th governorship and state House of Assembly polls in Lagos State would be the right time to tell some politicians who the real owners of Lagos are.

According to him, “Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, is a very smart guy. He believes in the Obidient Movement. You will be surprised to know that he was involved in the endsars protest of 2020 of which I was one of the conveners. He is very articulate and educated. He is street smart and not afraid of anybody other than God.

“He doesn’t believe in moneybags. He is a man of the people with charisma. I find him very interesting. I will be meeting him in a couple of days to tell him ‘I will be there for you.’ And I will be talking to my people in Lagos. I have a lot of influence in Lagos. They will be coming out to overwhelmingly vote for Rhodes-Vivour.

“As a matter of fact, we (LP) are going to defeat them in Lagos once again. So they would know why we could not celebrate criminality. They would know why we would not accept the result because the INEC was very fraudulent. I am telling you that by the grace of God Gbadebo is going to be the next governor of Lagos State.

“You can see how we defeated them in the Presidential polls. It is going to be repeated in the House of Assembly and the Governorship polls. Nobody has ever won Lagos State other than them. But now the narrative has changed. When they say that Lagos State belongs to Tinubu and some others, Gbadebo told them that it is not right. The former Deputy Governor of the state, Kofoworola Bucknor, accentuated Gbadebo’s assertion. She said that her people owned Lagos and that Tinubu and the rest of them are strangers.

“As a Prince, I can say that we(Benins) are Nubians. You only have two empires in the world, Benin and British Empire. We also have two cities in the world, Benin and New York City. So we are the owners of Lagos because our kingdom cuts across Lagos to Dahomey and to Asaba. Because we’re friendly and loving people when civilisation came we started relinquishing some of our land to settlers. That’s why you cannot the Oba of Lagos today without him paying obeisance to the Oba of Benin.

“The current Oba of Lagos is a very intelligent man. He retired from the Police as AIG before ascending the throne. He is well educated. He told the world that the Benins and Yorubas are brothers and that Lagosians cannot claim Lagos without mentioning Benin people. Those that are saying Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour is not from Lagos have shamed themselves. He has proven to them that he is from a generation of Lagosians.

“You cannot win this election by lying, deceit or having thugs that are ready to harass those you call none indigenes of Lagos. It is now or never. Nigeria is moving forward not going backwards.”
