Born in 1966 in Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State, Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon attended St. John’s Catholic Primary School ljebu, Ogun State and had his secondary education at Ago-Iwoye Secondary School from 1977 to 1981.
In his quest for knowledge he proceeded to the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he studied Law. He attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos and was called to the Bar in 1992. Soon after his NYSC, Barrister Imansuangbon(The Riceman) as an enterprising youngman combined private legal practice with business and has both distinguished himself as an astute business man and legal luminary.
Barrister Imansuangbon is a crusader for social justice and a philanthropist par excellence. This he has demonstrated by the numerous scholarships he has awarded to indigent pupils and students through sponsorship of Kenneth Imansuangbon National Essay Competitions. He is also the sponsor of Imansuangon Football Cup Competition among public and private secondary schools in Nigeria.
An ardent and unsurpassable promoter of education, Barrister Imansuangbon is totally committed to the eradication of illiteracy, ignorance and disease through the establishment of schools and colleges. He has received numerous awards locally and internationally and is acclaimed as the mouthpiece of the downtrodden.
Furthermore, his philanthropic disposition is exhibited in the yearly distribution of thousands of bags of rice to people in the three senatorial districts of Edo State and yearly visit to orphanage homes and retired war veterans in Nigeria.
Barrister Imansuangbon, is happily married to the beautiful and amiable Mrs. Kate Imansuangbon, a Microbiologist, Educationist and erudite scholar. Their marriage is blessed with four lovely children, Abraham, Emmanuela, David and Joshua.
The Riceman is not only concerned with his immediate family but allows his family affection to extend to all people. As a broad minded family man, he considers Edo State to be an extension of his nuclear family. No wonder, Edo State to him is one family, one people with one destiny under one God.
For the records, Barrister Imansuangbon is aspiring to govern Edo State from September 2024 and beyond on the platform of the Labour Party (LP).
