A resounding and colourful welcome was the reception given to Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon (aka Riceman), a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and ally of the party’s Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, at the IDPs Camp situated at Uhogua in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Barrister Imansuangbon clad in a Atiku Abubakar emblazoned gown in his usual annual rice sharing programme during the Christmas season had stormed the facility accompanied by friends and political associates in a convoy of cars and an articulated truck fully branded with the Atiku/Okowa 2023 Campaign banner and bearing bags of rice, toiletries, clothings, shoes, soft drinks etc.
As he emerged the very happy and highly elated multitude broke into a sing song praising and praying for him for his good deeds towards them in the past years and praying that he achieves his life ambition.
Welcoming him the Commandant of the facility, Pastor Solomon Folorunsho, recalled his good deeds to the inhabitants of the facility over the years and prayed that he succeeds in all his life endeavours.
Responding, Barrister Imansuangbon thanked the Commandant and praised him for the good job he has been doing, taking care of the inhabitants who are majorly victims of the Boko Haram onslaught in the North East District of the country, some of whom he (Folorunsho) have trained to become professionals in different careers even as some are students of acclaimed A list tertiary institutions across the country.
He charged the gathering to endeavour to cast their vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in the 2023 Presidential poll as they have what it takes to solve the myriad of problems facing the country.
He further supported the facility with cash donation which included his wife, Kate’s annual vote for the educational upliftment of the kids in the facility.
The Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon rice sharing will climax with visits to churches situated in the Edo South District on Sunday morning.
