Respect professional ethics – Edo deputy governor charges female journalists

The Edo State Chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists(NAWOJ) has been enjoined to adhere strictly to the tenets of the profession in their reportage. The State Deputy Governor, Engr. Marvellous Omobayo, gave the charge when he received a delegation of the NAWOJ in his office in Benin.

Engr. Omobayo used the opportunity of the visit to further restate his support for Governor Godwin Obaseki to finish strong on his Make Edo Great Again(MEGA) project.

Earlier, the Chairperson of the Edo NAWOJ, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan, who led  the women’s umbrella body said the visit was to congratulate the deputy governor on his elevation as the number two citizen of the state.

Comrade Ehimuan further said the visit also aimed at strengthening the synergy and exploring areas of collaboration to promote the development of journalism and women empowerment in the State. 

Highpoint of the visit was the joint presentation of congratulatory card to the deputy governor by the NAWOJ Executives.
