Esama of Benin Kingdom and Honourary Romanian Ambassador to Edo and Delta States, High Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, has described the Chairman of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Festus Alenkhe, as a hard-worker and achiever.
He made the description when Comrade Alenkhe led members of the union in Edo State to pay felicitations to the Esama in his expansive estate in GRA, Benin City in the countdown to his 88th birthday which comes up on the 11th of September, 2022.
Reeling out his administration’s achievements within nine months of its emergence, Comrade Alenkhe told the Esama, who is the grand patron of the council and has for long been a pillar of support to journalists in the state, that he is not resting on his oars as he is desirous of doing more while appealing for the support of the host.
He thanked Chief Igbinedion for his show of love to the media practitioners adding that journalists will continue to tap into his grace whenever the need arises. He described Chief Igbinedion as a role model to the generality of the people.
In his response, Chief Igbinedion showered praises on Comrade Alenkhe for his numerous achievements within the short pace of time that he assumed office, adding that Comrade Alenkhe has the ability to perform creditably not minding the odds that are stacked against him.
