PRP Chairman emerge Chairman of IPAC in Edo

Dr. Osasere Greg Igbinomwanhia has emerged as the new chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Edo State Chapter. 

Dr. Igbinomwanhia, who doubles as Chairman of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in the state, was elected during the weekend following the body’s election which was conducted at the Independent National Electoral (INEC) Office in Benin City.

The election which was monitored by INEC officials saw other state party chairmen elected into various offices. While Mr. Gabriel Erhahon of African Action Congress (AAC) was elected as Vice Chairman of the state IPAC, Mr. Osirame Edeipo of Booth Party(BP) was voted in as the Secretary.

Bishop Royal Otasowie of Young Peoples’ Party (YPP) emerged as the Publicity Secretary while Mr. Osaro Uwaifo of Action Alliance (AA) is the new Treasurer of  body. Also elected was Mr. Charles Ugiagbe of Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) who is now the Financial Secretary of the Council.

The new exco is to pilot the affairs of IPAC which is a body made up of the 19 political party chairmen in the state for the next two years.

In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Dr. Igbinomwanhia, assured that IPAC Edo State will do well in discharging its statutory role beyond the expectations of stakeholders especially the electorates. He reiterated that IPAC is a UN/AU/ECOWAS/INEC endorsed body which is expected to help strengthen and deepen democracy in Nigeria. 

Appreciating the efforts of the immediate past chairman of the body Mr. Joseph Omorogbe of Accord Party (AP) he called on every person that desires good governance to work with the new exco in its quest to succeed.
