President Federation Cup: Edo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons in grudge semifinal battle

Edo Queens Football Club of Benin will tomorrow Saturday May 24th, 2025, by 1:00 pm, at the Prince  Abubakar Audu University Sports Complex Anyigba in Kogi State, file out against Nasarawa Amazons, in a blockbuster semi final game of  the President Federation Cup showdown.

The Queens, former NWFL Champions, who ranked 3rd in the just concluded Super Six showpiece, have high hopes of a first slice of silverware in the 2025 edition of the President Federation Cup Championship. A victory for them on Saturday, will give them Benin a place in the finals.

Having done  brilliantly well  in the Super Six, the Moses Aduku tutored girls would be working towards victory against the ladies from Lafia City. The Queens are ready to give the Amazons a run for their money. It would be a fight of the titans, where strength for strength, tactics for tactics, speed for speed and fire for fire will be showcased.

Again, the glamour of playing in the finals of the President Federation Cup is something every club would want to experience. And the main aim of Edo Queens is to win the President Federation Cup for the state.

Tomorrow’s clash is practically going to be a grudge match because of their previous exploits in competitive football across Africa. Reaching this crucial stage of the fiesta, all eyes will  be on the Benin Queens as fans are waiting to watch the WAFU-B Champions beat Nasarawa Amazons in the semifinal and clinch the ticket for the final. 

Winning the prestigious President Federation Cup would mark a major breakthrough for the Queens from Benin City. It will also have a huge boost on their records in the annals of Nigeria  Football.

Meanwhile, in another semifinal match in another centre Rivers Angels will also lock horns with Ibom Angels. The two matches will take place simultaneously.
