The executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Oredo Ward 2, have dissociated themselves from the purported expulsion of Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, a former federal lawmaker, from the party thus laying the matter to rest.
In a statement which was issued this afternoon and signed by 13 out of the 14 executive members, which included the Chairman(Prince Kingsley Eleme), the Secretary(Obadigie Jesuorobo), Woman Leader(Stella Aigbe) and Youth Leader(Kingsley Adeh), they said: “We hereby inform the public that no such action was discussed or carried out by the Ward 2 executives of Oredo, but rather by a faceless group of people who may have come into the party through the backdoor.

“The said actors in the laughable, null and void exercise are not executives of the ward, and have no powers to carry out any actions on behalf of the party, talkless of an ‘expulsion’ of a leader of such capacity.
“Rt.Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama remains not just a member, but a prominent and formidable leader of the party, and continues to enjoy the total support of the members in Ward 2.”
In conclusion, the executive members of PDP Oredo Ward 2, warned: “It is expected that anyone who loves the party should at this point be focused on actions that will unite the party ahead of the September governorship elections, and as such we warn mischiefmakers and impostors to desist from their criminal and divisive actions that can potentially harm the party’s chances of success particularly in Oredo.”
