Benin branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers(NSE) and the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) have agreed to collaborate in all aspects of development and also checkmating the activities of quacks.
The agreement was made when the Chairman of the NSE Benin branch, Engr. Evukowhroro Ojegba led some senior officials of his association to the NUJ Secretariat on a courtesy visit on Thursday morning.
In his remarks, Engr. Ojegba commended Comrade Alenkhe for the numerous developmental projects that he has attracted to the NUJ Secretariat within the period of two years of his assumption of office.
He appealed for collaboration with the NUJ to check the activities of quacks within the engineering profession who have through their nefarious activities soiled the image of genuine engineers.
Responding, Comrade Alenkhe promised the NSE that the doors of the NUJ is always opened for such positive endeavour. He alluded to the fact that the engineering profession has been invaded by charlattans whose actions have led to lost of innocent lives and destruction of properties.
He advised the NSE to feel free to avail the media with vital information on the activities of the quacks in the engineering profession so that the media can perform its duty of investigating such individuals and exposing them accordingly.
