Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has warned that the era whereby some individuals play God in the life of the people is over and that such people should read the handwriting on the wall.

According to him such individuals who derive joy in playing God in the life of the people should read the handwriting on the wall and realise that that era is gone and gone forever as the outcome of the governorship election of Edo State on September 19, 2020, has revealed.

“The people of Edo State have spoken during the Edo State governorship election of Saturday, September 19, 2020, that it can no longer be business as usual. Nobody can sit in the comfort of his mansion and start issuing fiat to the people. Enough is enough.”

Comrade Shaibu while going further reiterated that the nationwide endsars protests was an eye opener to the effect that people are fed up with the domineering tendencies of some politicians.

He advised such individuals to retrace their steps in the light of the new reality especially among the youths that they are not leaders of tomorrow but leaders of today, adding that such cliche should be done away with.

Enough is enough, Comrade Shaibu stressed calling on the youths to endeavour to occupy the political space and prove their worth especially as those who he alleged went into hiding abroad during the era of military dictatorship have now resurfaced in the country and are now calling the shots.

He called on the youths to reflect deeply on the phrase that they are leaders of tomorrow. Rather, he charged that they should take their destinies in their hands and tell the world that they’re the real leaders of today.
