Razak Sedunu, the National Coordinator of the Save Nigeria Group(SNG), has appealed for calm as protesters embark on the national hunger protest ongoing around the country.
He cautioned the protesters not to go into destruction of people’s properties or government assets even as he advised them to be on the lookout to checkmate the activities of hoodlums who may want to hijack the protest for their own selfish reasons.
Sedunu asserted that though the protesters have the backing of the law in airing their grievances they should go about their protestation with decorum. He also called on the governments at the different levels – federal, state and local – to harken into the genuine grievances of the protesters and move the affairs of the country to the next level.Â
According to him, “Nigeria is going through a rough patch presently and it is sacrosanct that everyone put their hands on the deck to join in getting the problems solved.”
