Daniella Oshawo, reigning Queen of Miss Beauty Pageant International 2025 and Martha Oboroghenempha, Queen Miss Tourism, Arts and Culture MBPI 2025, have counselled students of the St. Mulumba Catholic Girls Secondary School, Benin on the need to be hygienic most especially during their menstrual period.

The duo, who were guest speakers at the Career Day programme of the school, also used the occasion to launch their pet project tagged “pad up a girl child project” whereby apart from counselling them on hygiene during their menstrual period also made donations of menstrual pad to the about two hundred students of the school.

Speaking on the sidelines of the programme the duo said that their pet project is meant to act as an advisory for the girls to maintain hygienic posture always especially during their monthly menstrual period to save them from harmful medical complications in the future.

They stressed that they are also using the opportunity to inspire the girl child and let them know that just like them they too can aim higher in their endeavours and achieve success with the right attitude.

The duo gave hint of anchoring other beneficial projects in the near future that will elevate the girl child and place them in a place of pride in the society.

In her show of appreciation to the beauty queens efforts, Chukwudiego Ngozi Chukwu, Senior Prefect of the school, thanked them adding that it was an eye opener as most of the students are being lectured on such a topic for the first time.

In his submission, Udo Peter Oshoma, boss of TwinsPorium Entertainment Agency, the outfit managing the duo, praised them for their superlative performance at the programme.

“This is a day that they have been envisaging,  anticipating to come. I must confess that they have done justice to the noble task. Pad up a girl child is a core cause for them to do and they have done just that,” he stated.

He gave hint about other laudable health related projects and provision of furniture to some schools by the beauty queens underway saying that the pad a girl project is a kickstarter. He gave kudos to Governor Monday Okpebholo for his support for the entertainment industry.
