It is with profound sadness that I write to honor the life and legacy of General Godwin Abbe, an extraordinary leader whose impact on our lives and our nation will never be forgotten. As a soldier, politician, and mentor, he embodied the principles of integrity, excellence, and unwavering dedication.
General Abbe was not just a Minister of Defence and Minister of Interior; he was a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration for many. His entry into partisan politics invigorated our collective spirit, demonstrating that leadership is not merely a position but a commitment to serve others with honor and distinction. He led by example, always striving for excellence and encouraging those around him to do the same.
His warmth and approachability made him a beloved figure. General Abbe had a unique ability to connect with people, always taking the time to check in, offer words of encouragement, and inquire about the well-being of our families.
