GbaramatuVoice, the Niger Delta Newspaper, has announced the hightlights of its 6th anniversary programmes which is made up Lecture/Niger Delta Awards.
The showstopping programme is slated for Tuesday, August 10th, 2021, commencing from 10:00am, at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
Specifically, the anniversary celebration/lecture cum Niger Delta Awards of Excellence has as its central theme: Dwindling State of Crude Oil Demand in the Global Market: The Way Forward. Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, will be the keynote Speaker while the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo, is the Special Guest of Honour.
Others include the Host, Senator Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State; Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the Chief Host while Senator (Dr) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State, will be the Chairman of the grandiose event.
Other dignitaries expected at the occasion include but not limited to; traditional rulers from the Niger Delta, Captains of Industries within and outside the country; executives of International Oil Companies (IOCs) operating in the country; public office holders from the Niger Delta region; leaders of specialized groups in Nigeria etcetera.
The anniversary lecture will centre on critical new research themes as sustainable development goals in the Niger Delta region. Its deliberations will address all spectra of analyses including the oil and gas industry.
This Lagos edition is the 3rd in the series and comes after the edition held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) followed by the edition held at the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
It has a rich history of promoting national unity, recognizing the good works of various individuals that have positively imprinted their names in various areas of endeavors while contributing to the life chances of humanity.
List of eminent Awardees made up of Nigerians and non-Nigerians drawn from different sectors of human endeavors through rigorous but transparent process shall be made known to the general public in due course.
