Former Chairman of the Edo State Council of the National Youth Council of Nigeria(NYCN) now aspiring to be Chairman of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Festus Alenkhe, has sent an emotional message to the former governor of the state, Chief Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion, on the death of his mother.
The message read thus: “On behalf of myself and family, l write to condole with the former two term Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Chief Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion on the passing onto glory of his mother.
“She was a great woman who brought up all her children in the fear of God.
I have personally met her and l can recall all her kindness towards young ones and the way and manner she showed love to us while she was alive.
“Mama was a virtuous woman and a mother of high repute. We believe that the eternal call on her at this point in time is when God actually want her to come to His Bossom.
“Some of us who have known her for years with the description of ‘Iye Governor’ will certainly miss her.
“I pray that God grant Your Excellency, Chief Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion and the other children of your late mother the fortitude to bear the loss.
“Mama, rest on peacefully till we meet again to part no more. Good night from me.”
