Ex-Senate President, Saraki, promises to change Nigeria’s fortune if elected President in 2023

Senator Bukola Saraki, former Senate President, who is one of those gunning to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in 2023, has stated that he has the experience needed to change the fortunes of the country for the better if elected.

He was speaking while on a consultation visit to national delegates of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State at the state secretariat of the party in Benin City.

Going further, Saraki urged Nigerians to measure the track records of aspirants as a yardstick to decide on who they will elect since the 2023 general elections will play a vital role in the country’s future.

According to him, Africa’s largest economy needs a courageous and experienced person that knows much about governance and what is required to fix the country as it cannot afford to witness further retrogression.

While addressing the Edo delegates he asserted that with his wealth of experiences as a former governor and lawmaker he has all that is required to unite and restructure Nigeria.

The aspirant, who is also a former two tenure Governor of Kwara State, appealed to the delegates to cast their votes for him during the PDP primaries with a promise to diversify the economy of the country by investing in agriculture, health and securing Nigerians from the menace of bandits and kidnappers.

“This 2023 elections that is coming is going to be a defining moment for this country. It is an election that we can’t afford to put anybody. We need someone with the capacity, leadership skills and courageous enough to take decisions,” he submitted.
