Edo State Chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists(NAWOJ) has commiserated with Chairman of the State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Festus Alenkhe, over the passage of his Septugenarian mum, Mrs. Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe.
In their message signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan, the NAWOJ among others said: “The Executive and Members of the Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists(NAWOJ), Edo State Chapter sympathize with Comrade Festus Alenkhe, Chairman, NUJ, Edo State Council on the demise of his beloved mother, Madam Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe.
“While we are in solidarity with you and your entire family in this moment of your grief, we are not unmindful of the fact that Mama lived a life of emulation and left her imprints in the sands of time, including legacies in the birth of wonderful children, among whom you are counted.
“It is our prayer that God Almighty grants the soul of Mama peace and imbue you all with the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amen.”
