Edo NAWOJ soothes Festus Alenkhe’s nerves over demise of his mother

Nigeria Association of Women Journalists(NAWOJ), Edo State Chapter, has joined the legion of sympathisers to console the Chairman of the State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Festus Alenkhe, over the demise of his mother, Madam Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe.

In her message, the NAWOJ Chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan, said: “The executives and members of the Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Edo State, sympathize with Comrade Festus Alenkhe, Chairman, NUJ, Edo State Council on the demise of his beloved mother, Madam Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe who passed on Monday, November 7th, 2022.

“We pray God to place the soul of the deceased among the faithfuls and also give the children the spirit to bear the irreparable loss.

“While we are in solidarity with you and your entire family in this moment of your grief, we are not unmindful of the fact that Mama lived a life of emulation and left her imprints in the sands of time, including legacies in the birth of her wonderful children, among whom you are counted.

“It is our prayer that God Almighty grants the soul of Mama peace and give you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amen.”

Date of the burial of the Septugenarian has been announced by the family.

The burial programme commences by 3.00pm on Wednesday 7th December, 2022- with Service of Songs at her residence, No. 3, Aideyan Street, by Uzebu Cattle Market, Asoro Bus Stop, Upper Ekewan Road , Benin City.

While it comes to a close on Sunday, 11th December, 2022 with a Thanksgiving Mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church , Airport Road, Benin City starting from 9.00 am.
