Festus Alenkhe, a Broadcast Journalist, working with the Edo State Government owned Edo Broadcast Service(EBS), has thrown his hat into the ring to contest the chairmanship position of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
In a statement he signed the crime reporter recalled that in December, 2018 when he contested for the same position he was told, “Festy, calm down. If you don’t win NUJ election today, you will win tomorrow.”
Going further, he asserted: “It is three years already and l have thrown my hat in the ring again to contest as Edo State NUJ chairman as l have since obtained the Chairmanship Nomination form. The tomorrow is already here.”
He has adopted “NEW VISION-NEW DIRECTION” as his mission with fresh breath for Edo NUJ as his major point.
In conclusion, he promised that soon he will release his realistic and implementable manifesto which is still in the oven.
