Edo deputy governor mourns NLC chairman

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt.Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has mourned the demise of Comrade Sunny Osayande, Chairman, Edo State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC).

The Deputy Governor noted that he received the news of the passing of the labour leader with a deep sense of loss, while describing his sudden exit as a collosal loss to his immediate family, Edo State and the labour movement in Nigeria.

In the words of the Deputy Governor, “Osayande was a jolly good fellow, an iconic Edo patriot and a selfless comrade whose invaluable contributions towards the smooth industrial harmony between government, organized labour and public service in Edo State cannot be quantified”.

The Deputy Governor affirmed that Osayande’s death came at a crucial time his wealth of experience and professional competence were highly needed by the present administration in its quest at transforming the civil and public service in the state.

The state number two citizen admonished his family members and organized labour to keep his memory alive by imbibing his good virtues and prayed God Almighty to accept the repose of his soul.

Sunny Osayande passed on Saturday night in a care center in Warri, Delta State, following a protracted illness.
