Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) worldwide has congratulated the Benin Monarch, the Edo State Government and the people of the state on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the state.
In a message signed by its President, Ambassador Curtis Eghosa Ugbo, the group said: “The Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) worldwide wishes to congratulate Oba of Benin Kingdom, Edo State Government, other traditional rulers in the State and Edo people on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the creation of the state.
“We, of the Benin Solidarity Movement (BSM) worldwide, are of the view that the milestone of the 30th anniversary of Edo State is worthy of celebration considering the numerous areas of progressive development that can be ascribed to the state within the period under mention.
“Firstly, we are saying a big thank you to the traditional institutions in the State led by His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare11, N’Ogidigan, the Oba of Benin, who is also the Chairman of the State Traditional Council.
“Our Oba within the period of his ascension of the exalted Throne of our ancestors has shown much concern for the peace and progress of the entire State, His place in history is assured.
“Also we want to seize this opportunity to congratulate the government and people of the State for the chains of successes that has so far being achieved right from the first day that the state was created thirty years ago uptil now.
“Our prayer is that the State continue to grow in leaps and bounds such that generations yet unborn will live to hear the good news of what has been a period of blessings, rejuvenation, progress and development.”
