Frontline governorship aspirant of the Labour Party(LP), Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon(aka The Riceman), has said he possessed the qualities and charisma to defeat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and the candidates of the other political parties in next year’s governorship election if nominated as candidate of the party.
Barrister Imansuangbon, in a statement issued in Benin City, assured members and leaders of the LP that his mission was to ensure the party formed the next government in Osadebey Avenue, Benin.
The Edo born popular politician had Tuesday visited Oba of Benin where he declared his intention to contest the 2024 governorship poll. The Oba also offered prayer to Imansuangbon on his ambition. Imansuangbon called for unity of all LP members in the state before and after the party primaries.
He said his administration would ensure equal distribution of scare resources and empowerment of women.
According to him, “My dear Labour Party leaders, it is easy to defeat both the PDP and the APC in next year’s election. All we need is unity of purpose. I need you to trust me, Barrister Imansuangbon, that I have the capabilities to change the narratives in our dear state.
“The election of 2024 requires a candidate with the necessary experience, outreach and ability to mobilise millions of Edo voters. I implore all members of the Edo LP to be steadfast ahead of the primary. My administration will be an all inconclusive one for all of us.”
