On Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon(aka Riceman) was overwhelmingly elected as national delegate of the South East Local Government Area of Edo State to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national delegates Congress in Abuja where Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was voted in as the Presidential flagbearer.

Days leading to the Esan South East national delegates primaries there was rumour all over town of clandestine plans by some elements to scuttle the process and give victory to his opponent who has the backing of a former senator of the Edo Central Senatorial District.

The master political craftsman that he is, Barrister Imansuangbon set his machinery in motion and on the D Day the supposed contest ended up as a none issue as the Riceman ended up the clear winner having scared his opponent led by his godfather out of the hall when the vote counting was about to commence knowing that the table had been turned against them by the Riceman who scored an overwhelming majority of the votes. Barrister Imansuangbon scored 156 votes compared to the paltry 50 votes scored by his opponent.

As the countdown to the 2024 governorship polls in Edo State commences a similar scenario is about to be enacted when the Riceman will put his traducers to shame.

This is the highlight of the message from God to the PDP chieftain as revealed to him by men of God in the course of his rice sharing programme this year around the entire state.

The message though the same came in different colourations. At the Central Mosque, Benin, on Friday, he was received with joy by the congregation led by the Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdulfatai Enabulele, who assured him that his labour of love will never go in vain.

At the IDPs Camp in Uhogua, Ovia North East Local Government Area, on Friday evening, the Camp Commandant, Pastor Solomon Folorunsho, while welcoming Barrister Imansuangbon to the facility thanked him for his steadfastness in giving willingly to all and sundry prophesying that God will surely harken to his heart’s desires.

The following day, Saturday, a Pastor had come calling at the hotel where Barrister Imansuangbon lodged in Benin City to repeat an earlier message he received from God many years ago that the Riceman would govern Edo State soon.

On Sunday, at the Assemblies of God Upper Mission Extension Section in Ekiuwa, Off Temboga, Pastor Solomon placed the icing on the cake when he disclosed the revelation he had years back on God’s promise to give Barrister Imansuangbon his heart desire to govern the state.

He said: “God is lifting Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon above all his equals. God discovered him and shine his light on him.

“In all houses of Edo people, especially those who have benefitted from your annual rice sharing programme across the state, God will speak for you.

“Whoever has swallowed what belongs to you in Edo State shall press it out. God will give you the keys of Edo State.”

At the New Convenant Gospel Church, Global Thanksgiving Service tagged Divine Settlement, the General Overseer, Dr. Felix Omobude, while acknowledging Barrister Imansuangbon’s presence prayed that God rewards him for his desire to give people’s welfare paramount interest by way of his annual rice sharing across Edo State.
