Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the forthcoming poll in Edo State, Comrade Tracy Ebun Agol, has disclaimed the action credited to one Pastor Clement Osayomore who was said to have announced that the party structure has been collapsed into that of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
Reacting to the claim which was made by Pastor Osayomore in the course of PDP gubernatorial flagbearer, Godwin Obaseki’s campaign tour to Ovia North East Local Government Area of the state, Comrade Agol said that the claim by Pastor Osayomore was out of order as he has not been vested with authority to do such.
“Pastor Clement Osayomore is in a Dreamland. He has no authority to sign off the identity of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to another political party no matter what is in the offing.
“I am the NNPP chairman, governorship candidate as well as the Publicity Secretary of the Inter Party Advisory Council(IPAC). Pastor Osayomore is been mischievous by making claims that are beyond his powers.
“I understand that on account of his action he has been vested with the position of a Special Assistant on Religion to the governor. Good luck to him.
“As the party’s governorship standard bearer I have no pre knowledge of Pastor Osayomore’s moves to align or work with PDP and its flagbearer, Godwin Obaseki. Whatever working arrangement or MoU he has with Obaseki and PDP has nothing to do with me and the NNPP.
“I am going on with the election and I am certain of winning if the process is free, fair and devoid of any form of manipulation.”
