In addition the group said that it is fully in support of her aspirations considering that her success would be a signpost for the female child to know that she can aspire to the highest level and succeed not minding the odds stacked against her.

Barrister Obasuyi disclosed that she cut her teeth in politics in her days at the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) where she emerged as the National Vice President of the National Association of Edo State Students(NAESS).

She said she decided to join the race for a seat in the Edo State House of Assembly in 2023 so as to translate to a larger scale her passion to impact on the lives of people using her solely self-funded NGO, Faith Obasuyi Foundation.
