Artefacts: Governor Okpebholo has wiped our tears, says group

Esama of Benin Kingdom and billionaire philanthropist, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, has presented a 100 hundred years old bronze artefact to the President of the World Medical Association (WMA), Dr. Osahon Enabulele as a mark of honour as part of his extensive 89th birthday celebration.

Igbinedion made the presentation while playing host to Dr. Enabulele in his palatial home in Benin City, Edo State. He also eulogized the renowned global medical doctor for what he described as his remarkable achievement.

While making the presentation, Chief Igbinedion said: “I present this 100-year-old bronze artefact which I inherited from my late father, as a gift to you from my heart. I took it from my own archive.

“In my whole life, there are only two prominent people I have ever given this bronze artefact to, yourself and one Emir in the North. I really cherish you and all your great achievements in life.

“With the impact you have created, every Benin and Edo son and daughter, and indeed every Nigerian, will feel very proud to stand anywhere in the world. God bless you always.

Enabulele in his remarks, extolled the virtues of the Esama for the positive impact he has made in lives of millions of people adding that his unparalleled philanthropy and huge investment in health, education, broadcasting and business are legendary.

“Esama is a unique philanthropist who lives here with us; supports local institutions, promotes healthcare, education, broadcasting and business.’’

“Chief Igbinedion is an outstanding man with luminous legacies we are all very proud of. He is inimitable and has touched so many lives with resultant blessings of God.

“We can see the manifestation of God’s blessings in Chief Igbinedion’s life. We can see that Chief Igbinedion is still looking very young; that is the grace of God in his life. Our prayer for him is to continually look young, even as he advances in age.’’

Enabulele was accompanied on the visit by Prof. Joan Enabulele, Dr. Udoka Imoisili, Dr. Patrick Okundia and Dr. Collins Otoikhila among others.
