The estate of departed Edo born multibillionaire, Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo is presently in crisis barely two months after his death. As the members of the family are engaged in a faceoff on who manages his estate, a fight that has led to a court case.
In a judgment delivered by an Edo State High Court of Justice (Civil Division), Number 12, Benin, presided over by Justice V. A. Oviawe, the court restrained one Mrs. Edamwen Evelyn Asemota from participating in the funeral of the late billionaire philanthropist and also from parading herself as his widow.
Recall that the multibillionaire business magnate, Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo, from Orhua, a community in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State died of cancer related ailment on Sunday, August 8th, 2021, in a London Hospital.
In his life time, Captain Hosa, as he was affectionately called owned interest in a chain of business concerns spanning real estate, oil and gas, agriculture, entertainment, hospitality and the likes.
