In his welcome address, Emmanuel Ogbidi, the President of NOCSON, said: “The journey to recover all we have lost to human rights abuses must start now as this year’s theme – Recover Better – Stand Up for Human Rights is apt to address same and stem the tides of human rights violations.”

Comrade Austin Osakue, the Guest Speaker at the occasion, asserted that “for us to recover better there must be inclusion. We must drag those falling behind along with us in order to recover better.

“A society that wants to recover better must be concerned about those who are lagging behind. For us to recover better we must find out the current condition of those who suffered during the period of the covid-19 pandemic.”
