Breaking: Tension as police arrest top Kano politician during guber aspirants screening

A frontline Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) governorship aspirant in Kano State, Muhuyi Magaji, was on Thursday arrested by guntotting men of the Nigeria Police Force while being screened by the PDP Governorship screening Committee in Abuja.

Recall that Magaji has been critical about the administration of Governor Abudullahi Umar Ganduje on alleged corruption.

His arrest generated tension at the venue as observers raised eye-brow over the way and manner the policemen stormed the venue.

The said warrant of arrest of Muhuyi Magaji does not state any offence committed that he had committed.

In a press statement issued by one Faruok A Saleh he stated that though Magaji had been screened he however expressed worry over his security.

“The police are getting ready to take him to Kano, since the warrant was issued by Kano State Police Command.

“We are worried about his safety. It is obvious that his arrest is political. His main crime was investigating Governor Ganduje and his family corruption allegation.”
