President of the Gospel Light International Ministries(GLIM), Dr. Felix Omobude, has advised media practitioners to be steadfast in all their undertakings as they have a prominent role to play in the affairs of the country.
He made the statement while playing host to Comrade Festus Alenkhe, Chairman of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), his executives and some members of the council who had paid him a courtesy call at the headquarters of the New Covenant Gospel Church in Benin City on Tuesday.
Dr. Omobude said that he is aware that the workload of an average reporter is loaded with series of assignments and he prayed that the Lord guide and protect them as they go about their duties.
Earlier, Comrade Festus Alenkhe had intimated the cleric about his string of achievements since he assumed office less than four months ago with a promise to meet up with his campaign promises before the conclusion of his three years tenure.
He appealed to Dr. Omobude to always put the reporters in prayers and to be of support like he has always been doing whenever his support was needed.
