At first JCI Edo Bronze Convention/Investiture

Immediate past President of the Junior Chamber International(JCI) Edo Bronze, JC Amb. Blessing Eson, is filled with joy on account of her successful  end of duty after a year and handover to a successor, JC Henry Asemota.

At the handing over ceremony – 1st JCI Edo Bronze Convention and Investiture – held at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre, off Airport Road, Benin City over the last weekend, Amb. Eson said: “I can only say that I have succeeded when my successor succeeds.”

Going further, she generously gave kudos to all those who supported her and sponsored her chains of programmes. She laced her words of thanks to her sponsors and supporters with a Presidential award to about a dozen of them ranging from humanitarian service award to award of excellence and selfless service award.

Her words: “My journey so far would not have been completed if nobody supported or sponsored my projects. I thank all and sundry.”

She charged her successor to be up and doing at all times and to exhibit his leadership qualities in him whenever he is on the tip of taking crucial decisions with nobody in sight to counsel him.

In his acceptance the new President, JC Henry Asemota  promised the build on the dreams of JCI’s founding fathers.

“My expectations for Edo Bronze is to take it from where I met it to the next level. Though it is tasking, there are a lot of projects to be done,” he submitted.

Highlight of the programme was a lecture with the theme ‘Youth capacity building a vital tool for a brighter future’ which was delivered by the immediate past Chairman of Ovia South West Local Government Council of Edo State and standard bearer of the PDP for the constituency’s 2023 poll into the State House of Assembly, Hon. Destiny Enabulele.

Guests were treated to a lavish reception spiced with delicious dishes, exotic drinks and good music by the Deejay to bring the auspicious occasion to a close.
