Patience Ndidi Key, who narrowly missed the Presidential ticket of the Peoples Redemption Party(PRP) in the last general election, has now joined the race to succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki in Edo State in 2024.

Patience Key who expressed her mind at the last general meeting of the Peoples Redemption Party in Edo State said that her ambition to govern Edo State is never misplaced and it is a product of deep reflections brought on by her desire to take the right steps that will ensure that the act of governance in the heart beat state is not turned to a kiddies party.

She went further ,that she has got lots of surprises up her sleeves as she march to ensure that the people are liberated from an undignified modern day slavery coupled with ensuring that accountability is not made a lip service.

Key insisted that in her time as governor of Edo State she will draw up a very detailed blueprint on the act of governance, operate a leadership system that is built on the legacy of truth, honesty and obedience to the wheel of progress of the state.

She promised to replicate the ingredients of good life as it is obtainable overseas where she lived most of her adult life.

The PRP gubernatorial aspirant promised not to let down the people of Edo State as regards transparency and adherence to the golden rule of doing the best in all situations no matter the odds against her.

The governorship hopeful allayed fears that she may not be able to measure up to standard.

“I am no greenhorn in the administrative cadre and I can tell you for free that I am blessed with all it takes to succeed in the act of governance and delivery of the dividends of democracy. A vote cast for me by the Edo people will always count for good governance and adherence to the principles of respect for the rule of law.”
