2023: I will end Boko Haram insurgency within a year, says presidential hopeful

Osagiede Osemwende Wisdom, a retired military officer who served in the US Army, has thrown his hat into the ring to contest the 2023 Presidential Poll on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The presidential hopeful promised to use his vast experience in the US Army to confront the scourge of Boko Haram insurgency that the country is facing and end it within a year of his assumption of office.

“I will declare state of emergency in the health sector, new health clinics and renovation of the old ones will be done in the towns and the villages and also in all nooks and crannies of the city.”

Going further, he said: “for some years now, Nigeria has been suffocating on the unbearable weight of insecurity and terror, perpetrated by the dreaded Boko Haram.

“This crisis has caused a lot of pain and suffering to the victimized communities and has been one of the country’s biggest challenges.

“This should never have been happening to Africa’s giant. We can redress this security challenges.”
