Youth group wants Ihensekhien for reps 2023

A group of youths under the auspices of Progressive Youths Forum (PYF) has called on Barrister Ken Ihensekhien to contest for the House of Representatives seat of Esan West/Esan Central/Igueben Federal Constituency in 2023.

The APC affiliated group further gave Barrister Ihensekien two weeks to commit to their patriotic demand and declare accordingly failing which they will approach the Court for injunctive reliefs compelling and mandating him to contest for the position.

The compelling demand of the PYF is coming on the heels of a raging debate for Igueben Local Government to produce the member that will occupy the Esan West/ Esan Central/Igueben Federal Constituency in view of the marginalization of Igueben Local Government in that regard.

It is on record that apart from Igueben LGA, the other local governments in Esan West/Esan Central/Igueben Federal Constituency have occupied that exalted seat.

Briefing Journalists at the APC Secretariat in Abuja, the Coordinator of the YPF, Edo State Chapter, Comrade Frank Olowo, who led a mammoth crowd of party loyalists said that the group has resolved to purchase the nomination form for Barrister Ihensekhien when the sales of the form commence in the secretariat of the APC as contained in the Guidelines of Election earlier released by the party.

Olowo said: “the Call to Service on Barrister Ken Ihensekhien became necessary and apt considering his towering political pedigree and contributions to the development of Esan West/ Esan Central/Igueben Federal Constituency when he held sway as a two time Commissioner in Edo State.”

He further stated that: “It is my singular honour on behalf of the PYF to call on Barrister Ihensekhien to declare as an aspirant for the House of Representatives in Esan West/Esan Central/Igueben Federal Constituency going forward.”

The group also called on the leadership of the PDP in Esan West/Esan Central/Igueben Federal Constituency to fear God and thus zone its ticket in that regard to Igueben Local Government Area so that the continuous marginalization of the people of Igueben under the Esan West/Esan Central/Igueben Federal Constituency can be resolved come 2023.
