You can achieve a lot with dedication, ex-WMA President tells youths

Dr. Osahon Enabulele, the Director General(DG) of the Dr. Osahon Enabulele Foundation(DOEF), who is a Past President of the World Medical Association (WMA), has urged youths not to give up on themselves as they can do much more than he was able to achieve in getting worldwide recognition even as he remained on the soil of Nigeria.

He made the clarification on the occasion of the Edo State Secondary Schools Debate Competition powered by DOEF which kickstarted on Friday afternoon in Egor Local Government Area of the state.

Dr. Enabulele assured the students that their horizon is filled with promises of a  better future if only they can concentrate on their dreams and map out strategies of moving forward irrespective of some distractions that may emerge.

He affirmed that the DOEF activities is centred on giving back to the society via education, leadership training and health outreach among others adding that in the course of addressing the multifaceted problems that Nigerians are going through all would be done to ensure that no one is left behind. 

In his words of inspiration, the Chairman of the foundation, Prof. Dominic Osaghae, said he was impressed by the quality and depth of the schools competing in the schools debate competition. 

“They(the participants) were able to express themselves. Our country has a lot of hope. All is not lost,” adding “what can you do to make a difference. What do you do with the roles you’re entrusted with.”

He counselled students to always embark on collaboration as through that they can achieve desired success in whatever they are doing. 

Highlight of the schools debate competition, which was won by Eghosa Anglican Grammar School, was the presentation of awards to the best students and also certificates of participation to the participants and their teachers.
