A New Dawn is here in the Miners Association of Nigeria with the emergence of Engr. Fatai Jimoh a high profile Mining Engineer, who is committed to continuous improvement of the Solid Minerals industry, as the National Publicity Secretary of the association.
Engr. Fatai Jimoh is a top Mining professional with over 20 years cognate work experience in Surface Mining of Industrial Minerals, Metallic and Gemstones. He is passionately working towards improving the Mining Industry in Nigeria.
Engr. Jimoh is the Chief Executive of HNF Global Resources Ltd based in Auchi, Edo State. The outfit which commenced operation in 2010 is a leading mining servicing Company and holder of SSML – 27228.
Within the period of August 2004 – November 2012, he was the General Manager of Freedom Group in Akoko Edo. He oversaw the installation and maintenance of Jaw Crusher;
managed the Cone Crusher, ensuring 24/7 operation as much as possible and kept log and record of day-to-day activities in the entire IT department of the company.
For five consecutive years Engr. Fatai was the recipient of the Best of the Best Award at the Freedom Group.
Since December 2016 he has been the Chief Operating Officer of Fanalou Co. Nig. Ltd, based in Akoko Edo with the sole responsibility of General Operation Supervision of excavation, drilling, blasting, etc and day-day running of the projects.
Engr. Jimoh is the Chief Operating Officer of Makana Company Ltd also situated in Akoko Edo with similar job description like in Fanalou Company Ltd.
Between December 2014 and December 2016, Engr. Fatai’s company, HNF Global Resources Ltd, was a principal contractor on drilling and blasting among others in CBMI/SINORIA- BUA Cement Company, Okpella.
He is an External Examiner in the Department of Mineral Resources of the Auchi Polytechnic, a position he assumed since 2022.
Engr. Fatai graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Akure(FUTA), Ondo State in 2020 with B.Eng. (Second Class Honors) in Mining Engineering. In 2022 he secured M. Eng. from the same institution. Presently, he is undergoing his PhD in Surface Mining at the FUTA.
Before his assumption of office as the National Publicity Secretary of the Miners Association of Nigeria he was between 2020 – 2023 simultaneously the Secretary of the Edo State chapter of the association and also the Secretary of Nigeria Society of Mining Engineers in the state.
