“For security reasons I want to remain anonymous to relate this story for the attention of whoever believes in the maxim that the internet never lies and it never forgets.

“My addiction to surfing the internet to get informed and entertained means that my android phone must always be within my reach every early morning hours.

“On this particular morning as I was surfing some series of adverts kept popping up. The one that interested me most out of the lot was one where ‘Peter Okoye’ of the hip-hop group, PSquare was campaigning for Zoom Lifestyle.

“On my enquiry this is the response I got via a WhatsApp number 08131890186 that Truecaller app identified as belonging to one Adebayo Williams with email contact adebayowilliams870@gmail.com.

“To convince me ‘Peter Okoye’ who claimed to be out of the country (in USA) called me on WhatsApp video call which was not coming clear and which he hammered on repeatedly ‘your network is not clear.’

“He asked me to send in my account details if I was interested in participating in the ‘give away’ deal. After some hesitation I decided to give it a trial. I sent in my GTBank account details for the registration as requested.

“Thereafter, ‘Peter Okoye’ sent me another of his GTBank account details PETER OKOYE
0690508058
GTB where I should make my deposit payment and ‘send prove.’ Again, to convince me of the genuineness of his campaign ‘Peter Okoye’ called me via WhatsApp video call.

“Once more he hammered on  ‘your network is not clear.’ From this point I regained my consciousness. Some things were not tallying. First was the two different account numbers that ‘Peter Okoye’ had sent to me a ‘first time acquittance’ within less than thirty minutes.

“Secondly, if my ‘network is not clear’ why is ‘Peter Okoye’ insistent on WhatsApp video call when he could just call me on WhatsApp voice call which I had earlier done with him and which was very clear?

“I began to have the strong feeling that I am in the process of getting an interesting story. So, I decided to continue my dealings with ‘Peter Okoye’ irrespective of how it will turn out for me – positive or otherwise.

“I decided to hang on a while at least to get more details that will make my story a compelling reading.

“I now took the option of letting the steam calm down for a while by abandoning my chat with ‘Peter Okoye’ until later that evening more than a ten hours break.

“When I resumed my chat with him I wanted to know if I  was going to pay some extra money in form of hidden charges before I can claim my N200,000 ‘give away’ which he had earlier convinced me is the minimum that I will be entitled to no matter what transpired.

“In his usual manner of convincing me he dropped another GTbank account details PETER OKOYE
0690682505
GT BANK where I can make my deposit on the excuse that the other two accounts he earlier gave me were filled up.

“This game is becoming interesting. I wanted to know if I could use another bank account to do my registration. He told me that I had already been registered using the first bank account that I submitted but I can make payment through any other bank account.

“‘I am too big to lie,’ he stated while he assured me that it will not affect my chances of getting the N200,000 ‘give away.’

“I made my deposit via my Access Bank account and sent him ‘prove’ as he directed. Immediately, a new angle was brought into the deal. I must pick a lucky winning number out of three different numbers which he sent to me. I made my choice which fetched me a N600,000 ‘win’.

“To convince me he sent the screenshot of a N600,000 transfer to my GTB account which is on pending until I discuss with his ‘account officer’ on how to cash out the payment.

“Pronto, ‘account officer’ called me with 09030807981 which Truecaller app identified is assigned to ‘Custom Adebayo Patrick based in Sagamu, Ogun State.’ ‘Account officer’ told me that I have won N1.6 million which I can only get after the payment of N75,000 surcharge for what I don’t know.”
