The International University Sports Federation (FISU) has concluded plans to include Para Student Athletes to compete in two sports for the first time in FISU games to be held in Torino, Italy.
Information on its website revealed the two sports to include: Alpine and Cross Country Skiing. It was further gathered that the games which is slated for 13 – 23 January, 2025 in the Piemonte region of Torino, Italy will host a total of 11 sports in six municipalities.
The 11 sports and the places they will be held include, Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Freestyle will be held in Bardonecchia while Paragelato will host Cross Country Skiing, Biathlon and optional Sports of Skiing Orienteering.
Also, Pinerolo and Torre Pellice will welcome Ice Hockey, just as the other optional Sport of Ski Mountaineering will be held in Sestriere. The competition in Figure Skating, Short Track Speed Skating, Curling and Ice Hockey will be held in Torino, the land of sport.
Meanwhile, Media representatives who are interested to be at the games are encouraged to fill the online media accreditation form on FISU’s website as the organiser promised to support those that will be accredited in their best possible way in the course of their duties.
According to information on its website, “the 11 days competition will witness interesting and exciting moments full of sporting actions and cultural display.”
