Thank God for Tarex, APC eulogizes business man for role he played in ensuring that it wins in Owan West

Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Owan-West Local Government Area of Edo State has eulogized a business tycoon and political juggernaut, Chief Lucky Ohimai(aka Tarex), for his commendable role in ensuring that the party emerged victorious in the locality in the just concluded state governorship election.

The group led by a former deputy governor of the state, Reverend Peter Obadan, showered encomiums on the APC stalwart during its thank you visit to him. Reverend Obadan, said that Ohimai’s massive contributions to the governorship candidate of the APC, Senator Monday Okpebholo gave him the victory at the poll and put the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the place it belongs.

Reverend Ibadan observed that if Chief Ohimai had not come to assist, the party would have lost the election in the local government area. While noting that the opposition party was making efforts to suppress APC members in the local government, in order to manipulate the outcome of the poll, the former Edo deputy governor maintained that it took the intervention of Chief Ohimai for the party to be able to fight back and prevailed.

He expressed appreciation to God for having Tarex in their midst and prayed that God would continue to uphold him and enlarge his coast. Reverend Obadan was equally thankful that as a politician, he has someone like Tarex, who would take over from him and even do better.

“If any elder does not want the growth, the success of the younger ones and does not want to hand over to the younger generation, then he is a fool. Success without a successor is a failure. If you have no successor, you have failed in life,” Reverend Obadan further stated.

Reverend Obadan described Chief Ohimai as a pride to his people, as he is always mindful of them and assist them, adding “many people have, but they forget their home, but you said you would not. And we thank God for your life.”

Also speaking, the chairman of APC in Owan-West, Mr. Frank David, expressed joy that Chief Ohimai did not only won his unit, but his ward, local government and the state at large.

In his response, Chief Ohimai attributed his success to the help of God. He expressed the believe that APC deserves the victory, as the party had laboured and campaigned day and night before the election. He pointed out that there was nothing to show for the nearly eight years administration of the PDP in Edo State. He added that the PDP tried their best to win the election but that the APC did better than them.
