Senior Pastor, Banner Of Solution Christian Assembly International Incorporated, Benin, Apostle (Dr.) Emmanuel Igiehon, has urged people to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in order to have authority over the devil and his agents.

Apostle Igiehon made this submission while speaking with journalists on the essence of Good Friday and Esther celebration which is the anniversary of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Apostle Dr. Igiehon posited that by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ man was reconciled unto God and restored back to grace hence by belief and confession man become the child of God and is given authority over devil.

“We are in the season of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The significance is paramount to not only believers but those who have not come to the knowledge of Christ.

“Our Lord Jesus Christ came to die for the sins of mankind who had fallen from grace. Upon his death on the cross of Calvary he restored man back to grace. The only way mankind could be reconciled to God was for him to die. The day He died on the cross of Calvary is called Good Friday.

“That is why the Holy Bible said Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Man can be reconciled unto God when he gives his life to God and acknowledges the Lordship of Jesus Christ and when man does not know this he becomes an alien and far from God.

“The death of Jesus put an end to the authority and stronghold of the devil over man. The resurrection of Christ released man from the stronghold of Satan and brought power to mankind.”

On how people can key into the resurrection power of Christ, Apostle Igiehon said “there is no name given among men through which man can be saved and by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ every knee must bow and every tongues must confess that Jesus is Lord.

“I encourage everyone to accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ so they can have fellowship with God and have authority over the devil as they take their place in God. Jesus is the only panacea for the salvation of mankind.

“It is by the confession and believe in our heart according to the book of Romans of the Holy Bible that man can be saved. Every man must come to that knowledge and accept Jesus as their personal Lord and savior.”

Going forward the Clergyman stressed: “What transpired during the death of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the book of Mathew 27: 50-55 made many to believe that He is the son of God.

“Upon his death on the cross of Calvary, the Holy Bible recorded that the curtain at the temple tore into two from top to bottom, the earth shook and mountains melted. What the Centurion and the Pharisees physically witnessed made them to believe that of a truth He is the son of God.”
