Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, has in a statement to mark the World Pharmacist Day by his aide Comrade Razak Zekeri, stressed that at a time when health system around the world are recovering from the Covid-19 crisis and general consensus urgent action is needed for health services to meet future needs.
This year world pharmacist day campaign present opportunities to increase awareness of pharmacists as an intelligent solution and strengthen the health care facilities and pharmacy should also go for more research in making drugs and improving the health sector in Nigeria and Edo State and beyond.
In another development, Rt. Hon. Shaibu has called on Muslims in the state to use the celebration of Eid El Maulud to promote religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence.
The deputy governor made this known through his aide, Mr. Razak Zekeri. The celebration of Eid El Maulud marks the birth of Prophet Mohammed.
According to Shaibu, this administration will continue to promote religious tolerance among residents in the state.
He advised Muslim faithfuls to imbibe the virtues of love, peace, communal living and honesty which were qualities of Prophet Mohammed.
The deputy governor, while wishing Muslim faithfuls a wonderful Eid El Maulud urged them to always be faithful to the government and good people of Edo State and thank all traditional rulers and religious rulers in Edo State as we mark the Eid El Maulud.
