Shaibu mourns passing of Zekeri Sedenu

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has mourned the demise of Engr. Zekeri Sedenu, a former Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Until his death, the deceased was a grassroots politician and a business man. Survived by wives and children, amongst whom is Razaq Zekeri, his eldest son and aide to the Deputy Governor.

In his condolence message he personally signed, the Deputy Governor stated: “It is with a deep sense of loss that I received news of the passing of your beloved father. Your father was a jolly good fellow and a responsible family man, whose love for others was infectious.

“He was hard-working, fair and exhuded humility in his dealings with people. Erhama was a principled, exemplary leader, who spared no efforts in inculcating the core values of discipline, morality, sacrifice, decency and reverence for God on the children and many who crossed his path.

“Indeed, his impeccable accomplishments as a bridge-builder, humanist, politician, administrator and astute business personality is a testament of the fulfilled life he lived. I commiserate with the family, friends and associates on the demise of a great patriarch and mentor.

“Permit me to admonish all to keep his cherished memories alive by sustaining the good legacies he left behind. May his soul find eternal rest in the bosom of Almighty Allah.”
