As it’s scriptural for christians to annually congregate in thanksgiving to God almighty for his generosity, provisions, protection and sustenance, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu joined parishioners of Holy Rosary Catholic Church Afashio/Afowa Uzairue as they celebrate their annual harvest tagged “HARVEST OF DIVINE MERCY AND PROTECTION”.

While admonishing the congregation of Christ, he said: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up Galatians 6:9.

“Each time we reflect on what God has done for us, the unseen battles he is fighting, the unusual supply each time we are in need, the sound health he has given to us, his Love and protections, we owe God appreciation in thanksgiving, hence we have all course to give him thanks.”

Earlier in the homily given by Rev. Fr. Innocent Asamah, he enjoined Christians across the world to keep faith and hope in God, that in the face of the current economic challenges being faced by the nation, God is always there to cater for his children.

As a divine creation of God, Comrade Philip Shuibu remains committed to serving the people of Edo State with unwavering dedication and integrity. His presence at the Harvest of Divine Mercy and Protection demonstrates his deep connection to the community and his eagerness to support and uplift its members.

The Deputy Governor extends his gratitude to the members of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church for their warm welcome and hospitality. He commends their commitment to faith, unity, and community development, as exemplified by this remarkable harvest celebration.

Comrade Philip Shuibu encouraged all residents of Edo State to embrace the spirit of thanksgiving and foster a sense of unity and compassion within their communities. He emphasized the need for collective efforts in building a prosperous and harmonious society for all.

The Deputy Governor remains resolute in his commitment to promoting the well-being of the people of Edo State and upholding the principles of justice, fairness, and equity. He continues to work tirelessly alongside stakeholders to ensure that the aspirations and needs of the people are met, fostering a society that thrives in peace, progress, and shared prosperity.
