At a time our nation is embattled with economic recession and our state bedeviled in an unimaginable political upheaval occasioned by overzealous and illogical quest for power by the Governor of Ebonyi State which culminated to the unjust sack and dismissal of men who laboured for the victory of the governor in the toughest game of 2015 general election which was almost a war and 2019 general election only to be rewarded with starvation and humiliation.
In the light of this, His Excellency, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim in his usual way is empowering the downtrodden and believing in building human capacities that will continually be self sustaining.
Development as a social science concept is a multi faceted phenomena, therefore it transcend from infrastructural, socio-economic and human development.
Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim since his venture into politics in 1997 has been on the vanguard of empowering and building human capacities which is the Hallmark of development in our contemporary society.
Today as the present government of Ebonyi State look forward to see her disengaged appointees die of hunger, His Excellency, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim has come to alleviate and cushion the effect of the political turnaround in the state as he has promised and kicked off the payment of all the disengaged appointees above what was initially payed to them by the state government.
Politics according to David Easton is ” Authoritative allocation of values”. His Excellency, Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim has chosen to allocate his hard earned wealth to the betterment of all that came across him.
Little wonder in October 2019, His Excellency Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim in his mentorship program exposed over 500 youths to the way of making wealth through training by highly respected individuals with international repute and today over half of them are currently doing well in their field of endeavor.
To this end therefore, I call on other politicians to come and learn from this great political institution.
